Hi Alexey,
i also play around with spread currently. Some issues compiling the PHP ext (TSRMLS_CC missing) but finally it seems to work stable in lab environment at least.
Any specific things you plan to do with it?

TSRMLS issue is fixed in cvs.
I plan to use it as a mean for inter-server communications.
